Yup, the thief is exposed! Pierre-Renard can easily steal stuff (or more precisely, being an accomplice to stealing) without Babette's knowledge - but the one thing he cannot is lying directly to her face!

Even though Pierre-Renard has been lying this whole time, I expect him to not go full heel on them. And if he does, then Tarik has every right to trash talk him even more.
